RMO LLP Welcomes Tara R. Burd as Managing Partner – San Diego

Trust and estate litigation law firm RMO LLP announced that Tara R. Burd has joined the firm as a Partner and will serve as Managing Partner of the firm’s San Diego office.

As Managing Partner of RMO LLP’s San Diego office, Burd will lead the firm’s San Diego presence alongside firm Managing Partner Sean Muntz and Founding Partner Scott Rahn, further expanding RMO’s footprint in Southern California.

Burd brings more than 15 years of experience representing heirs, beneficiaries, fiduciaries, creditors, and other interested parties in litigated probate, contested conservatorships, and financial elder abuse matters. She is known for her precision-driven, results-oriented approach and her ability to guide clients through complex and emotionally charged disputes with strategic, efficient, and compassionate counsel.

Throughout her career, Burd has handled a wide range of sophisticated matters, including community property disputes, Marvin actions, employment and property disputes, antitrust matters, mass torts, civil rights cases, and breach of contract litigation in state, federal, and out-of-state courts. She is a Certified Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust & Probate Law and holds an AV® Preeminent™ Peer Review Rating from Martindale-Hubbell.

In addition to her litigation practice, Burd is an active leader within the legal profession and the San Diego community. She has served in leadership roles with the State Bar of California and the California Lawyers Association and remains involved with numerous professional organizations. Her work has been recognized by Best Lawyers in America, Super Lawyers, and the San Diego Business Journal, among others.
