Trust and estate litigation law firm RMO LLP announced that it has elevated attorney Matthew A. Bourque to Partner, where he will serve as Managing Partner of the firm’s Dallas and Houston offices.
As Managing Partner of RMO LLP’s Dallas and Houston offices, Bourque will lead the firm’s Texas market presence alongside firm Managing Partner, Sean Muntz, and Founding Partner, Scott Rahn.
“Matthew has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership, sound judgment, and an unwavering commitment to our clients and communities,” said Rahn. “His elevation to Partner reflects not only his outstanding legal skill, but also the trust he has deservedly earned from our clients and colleagues, as well as the broader Texas legal community.”
Bourque joined the firm in 2023 as Managing Attorney of RMO LLP’s Dallas office and focuses his practice on representing heirs, beneficiaries, fiduciaries, creditors, and other interested parties in contested probate, trust, guardianship, and financial elder abuse litigation. Known for his calm and strategic approach, Bourque has earned a reputation for navigating highly contentious disputes with precision while securing results that allow clients to move forward with their lives.
Since joining RMO, Bourque has handled a wide range of complex probate litigation matters, including will contests, fiduciary misconduct claims, trustee and executor removal proceedings, compelled distributions, trust accounting actions, guardianship disputes, and community property claims. He also brings significant experience in commercial litigation incidental to probate matters.
In addition to his litigation practice, Bourque is an active member of the Texas trusts and estates community. He regularly contributes thought leadership through speaking engagements and professional involvement with organizations such as the Collin County Bar Association, Independent Trustee Alliance, and the Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners. His work has been recognized by Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch and Lawdragon 500 X – The Next Generation.
